The particle size of synthetic yellow iron oxide is extremely fine (but not as fine as the black or red oxides). The actual ones contain approximately 85% Fe2O3 and approximately 12% LOI with some impurities. These oxides are used in manufacturing processes where raw color or raw properties are critical.
It is fluffier than red iron oxide pigment but less so than black iron oxide pigment.

In aqueous and solvent systems, it is dispersible.
There are no extremely heavy metals.
