Introduction
Coated Iron‑Oxide Yellow 5922M (Pigment Yellow 42, C.I.77492, CAS 20344‑49‑4, EINECS 243‑746‑4) is goethite‑type hydrated iron‑oxide pigment with special silicon‑aluminum oxide network coating on particle surface.
Ordinary iron oxide yellow will lose crystal water and turn reddish around 177℃. Thanks to surface coating treatment, 5922M achieves greatly upgraded thermal stability: color difference ΔE ≤0.5 after 30‑min heating at 240℃; ΔE ≤1.0 after 30‑min heating at 260℃.
Processed by high‑shear bead‑milling, it comes with fine particle size, good dispersibility and low screen‑blocking risk. It performs well in high‑temperature plastics and baking coating formulations.
