Introduction
Zinc Phosphate (CAS 7779‑90‑0, EINECS 231‑944‑3) is environmental‑friendly chrome‑free inorganic anti‑corrosive pigment. Chemical formula Zn₃(PO₄)₂·2H₂O. It can form a dense passive protective film on steel and galvanized metal surface to restrain electrochemical corrosion. It serves as an ideal substitute for traditional lead‑chromium containing anti‑rust pigments. Good compatibility with epoxy, alkyd, acrylic, polyurethane resins, both for water‑borne and solvent‑borne coating formulations. Widely applied in industrial anti‑rust primer, marine protective paint, automotive under‑coating and powder coating.
