Zinc phosphate is a white, non-toxic, non-polluting and neutral antirust pigment with a wide range of choices for the paint base. It can effectively replace the traditional antirust pigments containing heavy metals such as lead and chromium, and it is an ideal antirust pigment for the paint industry to replace or reduce the toxic pigments of lead and chromium systems.
Zinc phosphate does not contain lead, chromium and other heavy metals, non-toxic, non-polluting, no irritation to the skin, good thermal stability, strong rust prevention, less material in the paint, low cost.
Zinc phosphate has strong complexing ability in trivalent iron ions, the root ion of zinc phosphate reacts with iron anode, which can form a protective film dominated by iron phosphate, and this dense passivation film is insoluble in water, with high hardness and excellent adhesion, presenting excellent antirust performance. Due to the good activity of the genes of zinc phosphate, it can act with many metal ions to generate complexes, thus, it has a good rust-proof effect.
The paint modulated with zinc phosphate has excellent antirust and water resistance, and can be used in a variety of paints for the preparation of a variety of water-resistant, acid-resistant, corrosion-resistant paints, such as: phenolic paint, epoxy paint, acrylic paint, alkyd paint, as well as polyurethane baking paint, etc., which are widely used in antirust paints for ships, automobiles, trains, industrial machinery, light metals, household electrical appliances, as well as food containers, etc., and it can be used for the production of chlorinated rubber and synthetic polymer materials, flame retardant. It can also be used in the production of chlorinated rubber and the flame retardant of synthetic polymer materials.
Since the pigment is white, the color can be adjusted according to the need, and the matching top coat can be unrestricted, thus simplifying the painting process.
