Medium chrome yellow, also known as pigment yellow 34. The main component is lead chromate pigment, its chemical composition is PbCrO4, the content is about 90%-94%, the appearance is a light red yellow powder, it is the monoclinic crystal, with a slight odor, bright color, low density, migration resistance. It has a melting point of 258°C and stable at 150°C for 20 minutes. It can be dissolved in organic solvents such as ethanol and acetone when heated. It is mainly used for coatings.

Medium chrome yellow has good weather resistance and heat resistance and can maintain good chemical stability at high temperatures. It is an essential material for coloring plastics, coatings, paints, etc.

This product is a medium yellow powder obtained by mutual precipitation of chromate and lead salt solution. The original color shows:

Relative tinting power ≥ 95%, hiding power ≤ [40,95] (g/m2), low density, easy to grind, strong color bleeding resistance and not easy to fade.

4. Excellent water resistance, solvent resistance, acid and alkali resistance

Water soluble matter ≤1.0 (%), PH value of water suspension, 6～9

5. Good light resistance and dispersion

Light resistance ≥ 5 (level), easy to disperse ≤ 25 (μm)

6. Not easy to react with most coatings and base materials

Insoluble in water and oil, oil absorption≤[15,30]%, but easily soluble in strong inorganic acid and excessive alkali solution, easily decomposed when encountering strong acid or strong alkali; it will react with reducing substances such as hydrogen sulfide to make the pigment color darken.

Storage

When storing medium chrome yellow, it is necessary to ensure that the storage place should be kept in a dry and ventilated environment. At the same time, it is also necessary to maintain the temperature and humidity of the warehouse, which can effectively avoid the performance damage of medium chrome yellow.
