Uses of Synthetic Red Iron Oxide
Red Iron Oxide is primarily used in paints and coatings, rubber, paper, cement colors, and building. The building materials industry is the largest consumer of iron oxide pigment. This is due to the pigments' high dispersibility and tinting strength. They are used to color concrete, mortar, paving blocks, chequered tiles, and many other materials.

1. Acid and alkali resistance: it is very stable to any concentration of alkalis and other types of alkaline substances, especially cement and lime mortar commonly used in construction, and does not because powdering or pulverization of cement building components Affect its strength. It has a certain resistance to general weak acids and dilutes acids, but it can also gradually dissolve in strong acids, especially under warm and thick conditions.
2. Light and heat resistance: the color will not change under strong sunlight. The color of exterior wall paint is iron oxide series. Due to structural limitations, it is stable within a certain temperature limit, and the color begins to change when it exceeds its temperature limit. As the temperature increases, the degree of change becomes more significant. The iron oxide yellow gradually changes color to a red phase when it exceeds 150°C. Iron oxide red gradually changes color to a deep red over 300℃, iron oxide violet gradually changes color to a deep red over 400℃, iron oxide black gradually changes color to dark red over 100℃, iron oxide brown gradually changes color to red phase over 130℃, iron oxide Green gradually changes color to dark red over 200°C.
3. Weather resistance: The influence of atmospheric cold and heat, dry and wet weather conditions on the pigment are very small, because of its good weather resistance, there are many outdoor applications.
4. Other properties: It is very stable in any dirty gas, such as hydrogen sulfide, carbon oxide, sulfur oxide, hydrogen chloride, nitrogen oxide and other gases. It is insoluble in water, various mineral oils, vegetable oils, ethers, esters and other organic solvents, and there is no penetration.
