Production Method:

1. The general process of the sulfuric acid method: First, ilmenite powder and concentrated sulfuric acid are acidified to generate titanium hydrogen sulfate. Then it is hydrolyzed to metatitanic acid. After burning and crushing, the titanium dioxide product can be obtained. The sulfuric acid method has the advantages of abundant raw materials, low price and easy availability, mature technology, simple equipment and easy operation. The disadvantage is that the process flow is long, it is an intermittent operation, and the waste by-product discharge is large.

2. The general process of the chlorination method: mix natural rutile or high-titanium slag raw materials with charcoal or petroleum coke for high-temperature chlorination. Titanium tetrachloride is formed, which is then oxidized at high temperatures to generate titanium dioxide. After filtering, washing with water, drying and crushing, titanium dioxide is obtained.
